Good
morning K.I.A.* members. You are now in the new Millennium. You are
searching for any relevant information about yourself. Your specific
task is to research your own life from the year you were born up to
the present. Your mission, K.I.A. members, should you choose to accept,
will be to gather important information about you, for each
year of your life. You will also need to gather specific important
events that happened in the United States or the world for each specific
year that you have been living.
The BIG QUESTIONS are
What would you like to learn about yourself?
What events were happening in the United States and the world as you
were growing up?
-
The secretary will disavow any knowledge of
your actions. This tape will self-destruct in 5 seconds.
GOOD LUCK !
As
a K.I.A* member, you will discuss and explore your development within
your family. You will talk to your parents, grandparents, caregivers
or anyone else that could help you learn more information about specific
events that shaped your life. When you have completed this first part
of your research, you will then begin the process of exploring what
specific events were happening in the United States and the world
during each specific year that you have been living.
Your
orders are as follows:
You
are to make a timeline in chronological order, with this specific
line representing specific events in your life.
At
the top of your timeline, you will begin with the year of your
birth. You will have a significant fact about yourself for each
year that you have lived. You will place your personal information,
about yourself, on the top line with the specific year that it occured
On
the bottom of your timeline, you will research and write about
the U.S. and world events that have happened for each year
of your lifetime. This project needs to be thoughtful, creative, colorful
and neat. You need to take your time and have fun.
You
are to research your lifetime through discussion with your parents,
grandparents, relatives, and caregivers. If you have photographs or
written documentation, this would also be helpful. You may use Almanacs,
Encyclopedias, and the web to search for information.
This
is an individual project done by each of you. After you have found
the information that you wish to include, you need to:
-
Link
to the "Template" that has been created.
-
Find
out specific information about each year of your life.
-
Write
this out on the top of your "template."
You
will need to use some of the following tools to help you with your
research information:
You
will also need computers, internet access, Hyper Studio software,
Claris Works software, Inspiration software, artistic talent, almanacs,
encyclopedias, family history, family photographs, and any other tools
that will help you complete your project.
The
following are websites the K.I.A. members will use in their journey
to gather the necessary information to complete their task:
