Dreams: A project of the Oakland Unified School District Office
of Instructional Technology. It is funded by a five-year Federal Technology
Innovation Grant. The project is designed to support the work of History
and English teachers, grades 9-12, by providing access to appropriate
technology tools and professional development opportunities. Online

- Teaching
American History Grant - The Teaching American History project is
a three year grant to support professional development for teachers
of American history at the 5th, 8th and 11th grade levels. The project
is supported by a federal grant as part of the Elementary and Secondary
Education Act. visit

- AB 1339 (Educational
Technology Staff Development for Grades 4 - 8). Many OUSD elementary
and middle schools receive funding for Technology integration professional
development through the AB 1339 program.

- OUSD
Grants Coordination Office The purpose of this office is to enable
OUSD to comprehensively track all fiscal and partnership grant-funded
programs serving Oakland public schools. Any grant application seeking
to serve Oakland public schools must be registered with the OUSD Grants
Office. Visit the grant office website to register your grant application
or call 879-8294 to receive a copy of the registration form. Grants
Office staff will coordinate District approval, signatures and letters
of support.

- Core Values : (1998-2001 Grades
6-8, Social Studies & Language Arts)
A project of the Oakland Unified School District Office of Instructional
Technology. Funded by a three-year (1998-2001) federal Technology Literacy
Challenge Grant, Core Values was designed to provide resources and training
to support the numerous, systemic school-reform initiatives currently
underway middle and K-8 schools. Core Values provided teachers
of social studies and language arts with technology, training, curricular
resources and support, which built on each other over the three years
of middle school Online resources include:
- Grade 5 - 8 Social Studies Internet Resource
Library.
- Virtual Museum Projects a showcase
of class projects from teachers who participated in the grant.
- Foundations:(1998-2001 Grade
5, Social Studies & Language Arts)
A project of the Oakland Unified School District Office of Instructional
Technology. Funded by a three-year (1998-2001) federal Technology Literacy
Challenge Grant, Foundations was designed to provide resources and training
to support fifth grade teachers and students of social studies and language
arts.. Like Core Values, Foundations provided teachers with technology,
training, curricular resources and support.
- Math and Science Reform Initiative :
(2000-2002 NSF Science Grant) The Math and Science Reform
Initiative, a project of the Oakland Unified School District Department
of Teaching and Learning, was funded through a five year grant from
the National Science Foundation, Comprehensive Partnerships for Mathematics
and Science Achievement (CPMSA). Math & Science materials were availble
from the SMART Center. using the Online Teacher
