Welcome to the OUSD AB1339 web site

Over thirty OUSD sites receive funding for Technology integration professional development through the AB 1339 program. Most of these sites participate in a District sponsored program that uses experienced Core Values and Foundations trainer / coaches to provide specific site based training in effective uses of technology in all core curricular areas for grades 4 - 8.

  • Updates to Curriculum Links Grades 4/5 : Todd Jacobson has updated the Open Court section on his site to include links / lesson ideas for the first two stories in Unit 3 for both 4th and 5th grade. Also there are links on the splash page for Black History Month, MLK JR. and African-American poetry in preparation for the Oratoricle Festival. In addition there are links to mathematics resources online (grades 4 & 5) which have been organized by standards. http://www.mrjacobson.com/ab1339

  • Oakland Teachers Win 2003 CTAP IV Teacher Recognition Awarda(TRAP). Ana Thomas (Cole Elementary School) and Eileen Massey (Hillcrest Elementary School) were among several teachers from Alameda County who received rthe 2003 CTAP IV Teacher Recognition Awarde (TRAP) presented by CTAP.   • AB1339 teacher, Kerri Frederick, Bella Vista Elementary School, has been awarded an EBCUE Grant for 2002/2003. Kerri will expand the school's 5th grade photography club to include digital video. Students will learn the processes and skills in acting, directing, designing, and scriptwriting to create formal and informal theater, film/videos, and electronic media productions. Students will then showcase their work during an assembly at the end of the year.

  • September 2002: We have a new TSA, Todd Jacobson, who will be coordinating the AB 1339 program that provides technology integration professional development for grades 4-8. Todd will be working directly with many elementary schools and coordinating the work of My E-Coach and other consultants who are working primarily with middle schools.
