On Thursday, September 9, U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan announced that Lincoln Elementary was one of 304 schools selected as 2010 National Blue Ribbon Schools (254 public and 50 private). Lincoln is the only school in Alameda County to receive this honor this year and the first Oakland Unified School District school to ever receive this national award.
